While this little companion may be billed as an entry-level phone, the LG 1500 is packed with plenty of features–including speakerphone, support for MMS messaging, and MP3 music ringtones. A perfect blend of simplicity, functionality, and affordability, it’s also a great match to a Net10 prepaid wireless account.

The Net10 pay-as-you-go wireless service offers all local, long distance and roaming calls at one low price of 10 cents per minute. All Net10 handsets have a display that shows the actual airtime balance on the phone’s display for ease of tracking usage. Net10 handsets also carry an instant refill feature that allows users to add airtime directly from the handset on a real-time basis. Phone Features
The 1500 sports a clamshell design with a 128 x 128 color display. The outside cover of the handset features a 96 x 64 supplementary monochrome display that can display time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. Meanwhile, up and down buttons for volume control are placed on the left side. Most of the phone’s features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset’s control pad.
The 1500’s built-in address book can store up to 255 contacts for quick access to all your friends and associates. The phone also supports polyphonic ringtones, as well as ringtones in the MIDI, SMAF, MP3, AAC formats. For times when you want to be discreet, there’s also a vibrate ringer mode. Voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names, and the built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk hands-free.
When it comes to messaging and Internet connectivity, the 1500 is ready to keep you in touch with the latest technology. In addition to basic text messaging, you can send pictures and sounds via the multimedia messaging service, and there’s a built-in WAP 2.0-compatible Openwave web browser. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit– a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the 1500 including a calculator with unit converter, a calendar and an alarm clock. And because the 1500 is Java enabled, it supports games written on the Java platform. You can also customize the phone’s wallpapers and screensavers to suit your tastes.

Weighing in at an ultra-light 3.4-ounces, the super-slim W370 fits comfortably in your hand and flips open effortlessly to reveal a large and vivid full-color 128 x 160 screen and streamlined keypad.
